    booting up windows 7


    I can now only start window when the disc is in . I have run the repair and no good . every time i try to start it i get this message " can't find file \$windows.~BT\windows\system32\winload.exe" please help

    Hi iancorpe. Welcome. :)

    Have you checked the boot order in your bios to ensure that the system HD is first (or second, if the cd/DVD drive is the first listed)?

    If set first HD to boot, please post back a screenshot of your maximized full Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu.

    first boot is to cd/dvd then HD

    Your CD/DVD shouldn't be first.
    Put your drive with Windows installed as 1st priority :)

    Please post back the requested Disk Mgmt screenshot.

    If you set the HD first to boot and remove DVD, what happens? Any error message?
