So, should I install official RC or build 7600.16384?

    Thanks for all the info. Sorry to hear you're getting trouble with the 7600. I heard some other complaints about the 7600. My 7100 is rock'n'solid here. But I will give the 7600 a try.

    The RC keys did not work on 7264 and do not work on 7600. Either way, you can still get
    install = 30 days
    rearm x3 = 30 days ea or 90 days.
    total usage until next leak or RTM 120 days.

    If you must hurry to something NOW about OS, then go for build 7229. It is fast, stable (better than 7100 IMHO), and it can be activated with RC keys, so you will then have to around March next year to find a more lasting solution.

    yeah because you did the unofficial way of upgrading from build to build within Windows 7. On a clean install you cannot activate the RTM candidates with RC keys, different activation keys and servers.

    Agreed, go 7229 RC. Nice build, and you get it till Aug 2010 with the RC keys.

    Are you sure about that? I think it will be around March that Windows 7 starts to reboot every second hour?

    I say format and install. A clean install takes about 30 minutes. I can never understand why people make such a big deal about installing a new OS. Well let me clarify this. I am assuming that anyone on this site must be an advanced PC user. If you are an advanced PC user then it is a no brainer. Format and install 7600. I got 7600 yesterday and messed around with various programs and screwed up the OS. I ended up installing 3 times. Not a big deal if you know what your are doing. Back up all your info and do it. Btw you have up to 120 days with the re-arm method so there is no need to worry about activation. Get a technet sub like I did and use the key from that to activate. Very simple.

    Win 7 with rc keys expires 3/1/2010 according to winver on my system (and others) but come on guys. You all must be first adopters or you wouldn't be running beta software on your computers. So go forth and adopt..Pick your version do yourself a favor and clean install and install it. You may hit some bumps so what.

Hi At this time I'm usin windows 7 RC build 7201. And i wanted to know if I do a clean install of it again, if i can aktivate it with the old rc key. My better question is, is it possible to upgrade my 7201 build do 7600? Or, will my key work, wich I aktivated 7201 when I use it to aktivate...
