    Upgrading Old Machine to New

So I am in the middle of upgrading a bunch of old systems to new windows 7 machines.
The new machine must keep the same name as the old machine it will replace for just the next couple of months. We will be switching to a new core software package that is much better engineered than the current software that we are using. I have 3 machines that I have done the Windows 7 build on and they are in a workgroup at this moment. I will need to begin deploying these to the domain. I have great fear thatthere will be a name conflict with DNS since a computer account with the name will already exist on the server. My question is since I cn't nchange the name of the new computer, can I delete the computer account on the server and then have the new machine join the domain without a conflict?
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Yes, if you remove the accounts then once you change the PC names they will be added back to the domain computers. If you dont remove the account you will get an error "computer name already exist...."

Thanks Parman for the quick reply...
I would assume that I should be able to right click the old computer account and delete it, then pull the old machine and plug in the new one and njoin the domain?

Yes, sometime you wont be able to add them back right away. (might be a way to make it instant like for group policy, but i dont know how.)

Last time i did it i just waited 10 minutes then changed the computer name with it on the domain and it worked fine.
