Search Box invisble in win7 Startmenu

Hi,
The Search box is completely invisible in wondows 7 and Search is not working in folders

Please help me in resolving this issue, Index options in marked in windows features and start menu properties is reset to default settings,

This happend when i reimage the system

Double check using the tutorial below to make sure that you have "Windows Search" checked to be turned on in Windows Features.

There are also settings in the Group Policy that could do this, I think, if available in the OP's edition of Windows.

Malwarebytes just detected "hijack.startmenu". I Googled it but all the Malwarebytes threads won't load. I think its a safe registry entry but cant be sure. What do you think? :geek: Should I add it to the "ignore" list? What would happen if I deleted it through Malwarebytes?

No last opened programs in startmenu.
My startmenu just stays unchanged. I am on build 7068 64bit. On the previous builds the recently opened programs were listed in my startmenu with the jumplists. The settings are right. Please help!!! Thanks!
