Unwanted Progam starts on boot up

    Hi-

I am new to Windows 7. I have Windows Pro and trying to find my way around. I cannot do a screen shot-don't know how. Here is the problem. Out of nowhere- this black screen which looks like "safe mode" pops up on start up. The name at the top is Program File (x86) Restore and Recovery- It says in the black screen- 3 lines saying basically -successful.. and then the window goes away quickly- I am worried why this is happening?

    When did this start happening?

Did you do anything just before it stared happening?

I would think that is an oem recovery type app.

Do you have an anti-virus installed? If not, I would install one immediate and do a scan. If you do, then scan your system.

Is this a system with a lot of pre-installed software? You may want to google "decrapifier" and remove some software that you don't need.

Have you installed all the latest and greatest Windows Updates, System Drivers, Application patches? Check for those.

It happened once after a system restore- then gone. Then I was having browsing issues and a tech set internet options to default. I'm sorry I don't know all the steps. Now I can browse- so far today- on & off. But that screen is popping up on start up.

And Yes- I have a preinstalled anti virus-Vipre. It showed up clean. Is this a virus?..Thank you both?

Thank you- The window does not stay up very long -at all. I see the keys and the instructions are easy- I will try- but afraid the window just pops up and goes- not enough time to do this-I will start up again and see if I can- Thank you.--If not, I will try to read it -like I said-it's up for half a minute. I am sorry. I will try now.

Just press the PrintScreen button while it's displayed and paste it in Paint.
