So I was just wondering if there would be some way to have your computer go into hibernate mode, have it put the hibernation file onto an external flash drive, then move that flash drive to another computer with the same exact build and have it boot up off of that hibernation file.

Sorry, but that is not possible. The hibernation file only exists on the main HDD/SDD (the same as the OS) and, whilst it is possible to copy it if done so from within a live session of Linux, it is not possible to transfer the file to another system (even if they are identical) and have it boot up from that file. This is because the file is only half the story. In order to be able to boot up from it, temporary changes are made to the registry and boot files which enable the system to do so. These changes, as far as I am aware, are not documented. Even if they were, I would suspect that it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to manually make these changes.
