How would I go about doing this?

Alright, I'm having this slight problem.

Say I have 10 images, with all random names that don't make sense, but I wan't all of them to be numbered like ''1.png'' ''2.png'''.

This wouldn't be a problem if it was about 10 images, but I need to rename around 4300, and I don't think that will work out very well if I was about to do that manually.

Please, if there is anything that could help me, I'd appreciate it a lot!

    1. Select (highlight) your list of images in my computer.
    2. Right-click or F2 to rename the FIRST one in the list leaving the rest of them highlighted.
    3. Rename to whatever, for example: bobs_photos.png.
    4. Press enter.
    5. Your list, 10 or 4300, will rename to bobs_photos(1).png, bobs_photos(2).png, etc.

You could use Faststone image viewer which allows batch file renames

I'm a big fan of Renamer. Powerful little program but very easy to use!

As this is for images have a look at Cam2PC Free the downloader with this free version can be pointed at a folder or remote source (SD Card Etc), and the destination is fully customizable both for folder and file name - It also allows you to include image matadata in the folder or file name, such as date taken f stop etc
