Hello Somnium, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you click on the arrow in the selected item (ex: Word), does it open the jump list for the item afterwards?

I've tried all of the 3 methods depicted here: Recent Items - Enable or Disable
    Nothing helped...
If I click on the arrow in the selected item, it just doesn't do anything, nothing happens...

    Somnium,

You might see if resetting jump lists may be able to help afterwards.

    Didn't help...
It did reset all of it, but I still can't see the recently opened items..
by the way , what I did, that I think has caused it , was deleting the IsShortcut in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile . Perhaps if I could somehow restore this in regedit it could solve the problem... but how to do it?

    Thanks,
    Somnium

Well, if this didn't start happening to long ago, then you might be able to do a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to hopefully fix it.

Unfortunately I can't. I can't find the backup, probably someone erased it. It won't let me restore files because of this.
Isn't there any way to restore or install/add the missing registry? it's just isShortcut...

The REG file below will restore ISShortcut for lnkfile and piffile. You would just need to download it, double click on it, and approve to merge it. Hope it helps.
