Pin Google Search box to taskbar

Would like to pin a Google search edit box to taskbar like I was able to do for Internet Explorer search. Please see attached screen shot showing what I would like to do. Not add shortcut to Google desktop - this will allow floating searchbox that cannot be pinned to taskbar.
    Thanks

Welcome to Seven Forums Mies07. you can try this but I don't know if it will work, I use nothing Google on my PC.
In Internet Explorer>Tools>Manage Add-ons>Search Providers. If Google is not there to set as a default, go to Find Search Providers at the bottom of the window and find Google Seach on the site that opens. Download it and then try to make it show as a toolbar in the systray.

This seems like a great idea.
I tried what Britton recomended. It works and opens through chrome. Although I couldn't set it to autofill.
Google had an app that did this but I guess it's now discontinued : Google Quick Search Box for Windows
