I need a new machine two run Autodesk Maya at it's best performance.

I was looking up new machines to run maya at its best performance because the one i have just sucks when i take my geometry higher and found one that i want but its out of may budget an HPz800 workstation. Can any one suggest a machine that will multi task and run maya efficiently and stay in my budget since the the workstation is to much for me something under 1800 would be good or less.

Hmm nothing in that list should put you over 1800. You can get a kick ass machine for that much. ESPECIALLY the "2 gig" of ram? Ugh.

Probably the one thing that would be expensive would be the video card since I bet you are considering a quadro?

But a top but not higest end intel cpu/mb combo and and 8 gigs of ram plus case PSU/DVD/HD can be had for like $800. Then blow a wad on the graphics card and your should be good to go.

(Assuming no monitor replacement...)
