    Good day This is my first time on here,I have an external hdd which I no longer need so my mate said that he will buy it from me,Now the question is what is the best way to make sure that the drive is clean all my info is erased?.Is that possible?.

    You need to use a secure eraser as a quick format will leave all your data in an easily recoverable state.

    If you want you HD clean because of a sale, Ccleaner is not the way to go, try eraser.

    Selling it to a friend a full format should suffice, i doubt they will try to gather any of your info. They just need an extra hdd

    I'm no expert on graphic design so I just created mine in Photoshop. It was just a question of importing an image to a separate layer above the background layer, and then scaling it to size.

    If you want a real fancy signature just ask on these forums and I'm sure somebody will oblige.

    Arc makes really good signatures. I'm sure he could help you.

    And you could always quick format the hard drive. It's much, much easier than using an external program and it does the job nearly as good.
