    Dumb question, have you tried the Power on button? Maybe it is not in Hibernate mode, but shut down.
    Try this, pull the power adapter, remove the battery and hold the Power button down for 10-15 seconds. This should re-set the motherboard. Try to power on after replacing battery and power adapter.

    Hibernate turns the power off....you HAVE to use the power button.
