    Registry bug? Help please

    Good people of Windows7 forum,

    I hit something in CMD PROMT after watching a video on how to
    supposedly "Remove a virus without a scanner".

    I know that was a stupid move; forgive me a was lil drunk at that time.

    Every time I start my computer I get a msg in notepad coming up saying:

    [.ShellClassInfo]
    LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787\

    It also appears in every document folder now.

    Virus scanning does not remove this or make it go away.

    Please help, as this is annoying.

    Welcome
    If you truly did not have a virus try a system restore from a few days before the problem.
