    sound help


    i have major problems with sound!! i accidently deleted a playback sound thingy... and before that i keep hearing scratchy sounds when i play muisc or play games..

    ok i fixed the playback thingy just used trouble shoot.. but it still has scratchy noises when i plug in headphones speakers, etc.... and when i turn the volume all the way up

    Hi smooveprined. :)
    Use the Windows volume mixer to calibrate each application. I usually put the volume at 25. See below.

    will this fix the scratchy problems???? and if some1 stepped on it can this be the problem? cuz when i woke up the slot for sd ms was kinda sticking out. so my cousin may have steppedo n it a little bit.... please help...

    Well, this can also be caused by dirt. In this case, connect the plug and move it clockwise and counterclockwise in until the noise diminishes or ceases.

    but even when i dont have anything playing and i just plug in the headphoens or speaker into the jack i hear the scratchy noise.. and its not the speaker or headphones cuz they work perfectly with my ipod

    nope dirt is not the issue.. i tried blowing into it. and plugging it in and out

    The dirt I referred to is in female connector - motherboard / case.

    ok im trying to take this thing apart any ideas? its a pavilion dv6 im trying 2 take da back off.
