    grouping of new IE windows

Hello. I am looking to find a way to not have new IE windows be grouped next to each other on the bottom of the screen. For example, I have 1 IE window open, 2 excel file, and 1 word file, in that order left to right. Now if I open another IE window, the order changes to IE, new IE, excel, word (left to right) on the bottom. Is there a way to have it place a new window/program on the right side of any current open programs?

hi finnsbad, and welcome to sevenforums,

i think you are talking about icons being 'combined' on the 'taskbar'.

if you do not want this to happen, right-click on an empty bit of taskbar >> properties >> chose 'never combine'

Taskbar Button Grouping - Enable or Disable

unfortunately, the icons will still be grouped, and i do not know of a way to separate them, so that word will be in the middle of two ie icons, but at least you'll have two ie icons.

I did find the never combine, but looking for a way to not group. Thats too bad if they changed the layout to group similar programs. Old habits die hard I guess.
