Well, that and only Ultimate has BitLocker, AppLocker, and boot from a VHD support.

Getting a bew PC for my business... trying to save money if possible so may go with Pro instead of Ultimate. What are Bitlocker, Applocker and 'boot from a VHD support'?

    Thanks.

    Hello Bigseb,

BitLocker is HDD encryption. If you like, you can look under BitLocker in the Tutorial Index to get more details about it.

AppLocker allows you to prevent specific users from being able to run/access specific file types.

"Boot from a VHD (Virtual Hard Disk)" is where you can boot directly from a Windows VHD file on a HDD just as if you installed Windows normally. If you like, the tutorials below can show you more about this to help.
    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Hi there
You CAN install 1 Language on Professional that is different from the original Language --but then you are stuck with it - you can't switch back to the original.

If you need to SWITCH languages then Ultimate is required.

Note in ANY version of windows you can display different character sets such as cyrllic (Russian, Serbian etc) , chinese. Korean etc. These character sets can be installed so things like chinese and russian web sites displaty properly too in ANY windows version.

    Cheers
