It would actually just be a matter of copy/pasting some shortcuts.
The desktop changes for different accounts but all the programs should remain.
There are much easier tricks for migrating settings from one account to another on the same computer.
This is turning into a long trying experience for you though.
ANYTIME you change your username, that is, your login name, you should also change the corresponding folder name. HOWEVER, you cannot do this manually without risk. Here is the simple way to do it.
- Create a new user with the name you want to start using.
- Either create another new (admin) user temporarily, or enable to built in Administrator account temporarily and log in with that account.
- Use Windows Easy Transfer to move everything from the old user to the new user. In the process, when it asks about the old and new computer, you'll use the same computer for both. The old account will be the "old computer" and the new account will be the "new computer."
- Log in as your new user, verify everything works, delete the temporary account, the old account, and disable the built-in Administrator.
- Done.
