Welcome to the Seven Forums, plum001. To cascade your windows, you can right click on the task bar at the bottom of your screen, and then click on "Cascade windows".
how do u turn that function on...
when your windows is side by side...or cascading,
hold the edge of window with mouse pointer,
and
shake it....
....window is supposed to get maximized or somethings....
i might turned off aero functions....i forgot how i did....
i read that magazine article, that window will run faster when u turn aero off.
Shake minimises all but the window you are shaking. May not be available in the Starter edition of 7 since it has no Windows Aero.

When window is full size. Grab the top of the window with left click and hold as if moving. On IE above the Tabs. Then move the mouse quickly back and forth and the window will reduce size.
Click the blue lettering for link to forum tutorials.
This will show you how to SNAP to half screen.
Snap a Window to a Side
SNAP to Full or reduced size.
Maximize and Restore Down a Window by Drag and Drop
As Britton posted.
Without Aero I don't beleive it will work.
Win 7 starter only comes in 32 bit, are you sure about your system specs?
Basic has limited aero and does come in 32 and 64 bit.
