windows rolling back to an earlier point

Hello All,
I have a problem. I have several computers installed with a default Windows 7 enterprise image. Once the install process is finished, I join the computer to the domain. group policy applies and then office installation begins per policy. But, before the office installation, there is a restorepoint created. Once office is installed all works fine for a few days and then all of the sudden, office is gone! i realized that windows restored on its own to an earlier point. (The point created before office was installed)
Is there a log file that i can look to find out WHAT caused the restore? Any ideas of why this happened?

thank you,

not the event log please! I mean come file created that can tell me what caused the roll back.
