Hard drive configuration help please...

Have a read of those tutorial:

When you are up & running, replace the HD's one at a time, sort out the DATA if need.

When you get to the drive with the old OS's on, save your data, than you can delete the partitions.
Partition or Volume - Delete
Partition or Volume - Create New

OK, will go through the SSD stuff later and effectively build from scratch. In the meantime, I've booted into the SSD Win 7 setup, installed Partition Master, set the Sata drive Win 7 partition to Primary, rebooted, run repair, gone into diskpart deleted Win XP partition, set WIn 7 as active, fixed mbr, rebooted. And had an NTLDR error.

Reran repair, autofixed errors and bob's your uncle :)

OK, all other installations cleared.

Now, should I reinstall Win 7 on the SSD changing to AHCI in the bios, or use the Paragon Migrate OS to SSD - System migration to Solid State Drives (SSD) - Overview program to transfer what I've got?

Problem is that current Win 7 installation (including profiles which I need) comes to 85GB and I've got a 64GB SSD :)

Would it be better simply to install from scratch on the Win 7 machine and then transfer user profiles?

Thanks Barefoot Kid, but you've lost me. Option 4? I don't have partition issues any more, just queries with regards to what to do next with my SSD :)

New install and transfer profiles to it.
Or use the utility I linked to transfer existing OS install and profiles to the SSD (but I'd need to clear about 20 GB of profile data)

You can put your own data on your 250gb or 1tb HD's, before you delete the old OS's HD.

Your BIOS should be set AHCI.

By deleting the Win XP partition, you deleted the boot files.

Leave the SSD for OS & Programs.

More my settings, favourites, itunes setup etc. I'm worried about. Data already on another drive.
