Local Disk C is running out of space

    Local Disk C is running out of space


    hi friends, am having this problem with my p8 packard bell that the local disk C is running out of space while the laptop is new and i havent put anything to make it full. i have tried to turn off the system restore point but still no space. please help me to solve this friends.

    How many restore points do you have?

    How much space do you have allotted to System Restore?

    You could install WinDirStat to help figure out what is taking up so much space. You can find it here.

    hey thanx friend for your reply, i have done what you told and here is the result.... what to do next?! it seems like the exe. took up my space but there are few softwares i have installed. please help

    i dont know exactly how many but the restore point space i have allocated it is 1gb

    Expand the line "Packard Bell" (click on the little + in front) and see what is underneath. Look for the big ticket items. If it is not clear, keep expanding.

    Well, here you have your answer. You have a lot of junk in Appdata > Local. Have a look what it is. Be aware that Appdata is a hidden folder which you have to unhide ( in Organize > Folders and search options > View tab).
