From what I can see , there is no Vista or Windows 7 driver to download at all. Every download I find is for older OS (Windows 98/2000/XP/NT 4). You may have to try to install in compatibility mode.

Sorry, I didn't realize there were no download links on the 1st link I gave you. A Guy

"Plugged In, Not Charging"
So, after this problem has begun to plague my fiancee for unknown reasons, the same has happened to me. I've searched high and low and have tried what I could, but nothing works and I, in fact, have no idea what may be the issue here. Everything in my laptop was working PERFECTLY until just now,...

another "plugged in, not charging" dell - tried everything so far!
I have a Dell inspiron 1700; I replace the battery and charger about 2 years ago, and it has since been working fine (before, this was a separate problem, where the battery was run down and charger broken). For about a month, have been getting the "plugged in, not charging" sign with my battery...

Compaq laptop "plugged in, not charging"
I bought a new adapter (universal, 9.5V-24V) and set it on 18.5V like my original charger was. It worked for a while and then stopped charging (although it still powers the computer). So I tried uninstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from the Device Manager and rebooted,...

Battery Not Being Charged ("plugged in, not charging")
So I've had this laptop (Toshiba Satellite C650-01V) since 2010 I think (I had it since I started university), and around early this month I've been having problems with my battery: it's not being charged. There's a message that says "plugged in, not charging", and I've tried multiple ways in...

Yet another "plugged in, not charging" thread
I have a 4 month old Dell Latitude E6230. I have had no problems with my AC adapter or battery until yesterday. Suddenly I started getting the "plugged in, not charging" message for my battery, and it has drained to 0 since then despite being plugged in. If I remove my battery and put it back in,...

"Plugged in, Not Charging" - Battery
I recently did a clean install after my hard disc stopped working and had to be replaced. Before this, my battery was working perfectly and lasted about 5-6 hours. However, after installing Windows 7 Ultimate x86 again, my laptop doesn't seem to charge anymore above 2%. The second I take off my...
