    system 32 folder

    Ok so here's the problem.
I right click on a program on my taskbar (taking Internet Explorer for example), and click something under the subheading 'task', (so in this case it there would be Start InPrivate Browsing and Open new tab), it just pops up the 'system32' folder instead of doing the task. This happens to every program by the way. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Welcome
Make a full anti virus scan
Download (if you can ) and make a full scan with malwarebytes.
If you have no malware or virus
    Hopefully this will work
Try to reset the exe and lnk (LNK) associations.

I'm almost sure you have an ACER computer.
Uninstall a program call Egis Tec Shredder. It is part of the MyWinlocker suite that ACER provides with their computers. It causes the problem (and others as well) that you are seeing.
