Add Quick Launch to Taskbar - Build 7000

I tried this tutorial, but it does not work ...

Quick Launch - Enable or Disable

I didn't try Method 3 , but just because that's not how it is supposed to look.

Any other way to add quick launch to windows taskbar?

thanks in advance.

Have you tried method one or two? You can drag and drop things to the taskbar pinning them there as well.

Quick Launch Toolbar

All you have to do is create your own folder named Quick Launch, place your shortcuts in it and then go to your Taskbar and add new toolbar and browse for the folder you just created.

Once you have it on the Taskbar, unlock the Taskbar and move it to a position that your happy with and then right click the Toolbar and deselect show text and show title and there you have a fully functional Quick Launch Bar.

You can also follow the tutorial and apply the same option I have described to position and remove unwanted text.

Method 1 and 2 don't work with build 7000 according to the tutorial....

But method 3 does work...I just did it.

Why bother doing all this work when you can search in start button, location of program, drag to quick launch? What is the benefit?

Hello Ablib, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but you click on the arrow to the right of the Quick Launch toolbar to open the menu to select your shortcut. If you want to add or remove a shortcut, then you can at the Quick Launch folder location.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Windows 7 - Restore Your Quick Launch like Vista or XP

1..on your Taskbar, right click, select "Toolbars" and select "New toolbars"
2..(a "New Toolbar-Choose a folder" will pop up)
3..copy and paste "C:\Users\phransys\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\" on the browser and press "enter" on your keyboard.
4..select the Quick Launch folder(or create your own if there isnt and place your shortcuts in it) and click on "select folder"
5..Once you have it on the Taskbar, right click on the taskbar and unlock it.
6..move the Taskbar to a position that you are happy with.
7..then right click the Toolbar and deselect "show text" and "show title".
8..there you have a fully functional Quick Launch Bar.
