active window suddenly disappears and reverts to my desktop??

A strange problem...sometimes while in an active program or internet window the window will disappear suddenly and my desktop will appear. When this happens a slight movement of my mouse will return the window I was in.
    Does something need tweaking???

    thanks for your help

Do you happen to be typing when this occurs?

It happens every now and again to me as well, but I am usually doing the same thing when it occurs, either typing or using the mouse somehow (though I am not sure which right now). Is this an all the time occurrence, or more once in a while?

This can happen if the mouse hits the small lighter rectangle at the far right of the task bar.

Click it, and then click it again, and you'll see what I mean.

Exactly what I was about to say. Kinda aggravating isn't it?

Guys, that's called Aero Peek....it's what "Show Desktop" used to be. Just don't put the mouse in the lower right corner of the screen. Why would it be down there anyway?

No, not aggravating at all...it's by design and works well.

Saying that is to assume we're intentionally putting it there, and you know what they say about assuming.

To turn it off, right-click on the show desktop button and untick Peek, or right-click on taskbar and untick it there, or disable it in System Properties > Advanced > Performance settings > Visual effects. Nice to have so many ways to turn it off.
