Very strange issue.

    Very strange issue.


    I have two HDD attached to my PC.
    Here is my HDD with my C:\Documents and settings\Momchil folder which is my user name on the computer.


    And here is the exact same folder and directory in the other HDD G:\ which I NEVER attached to my computer!!! NEVER!


    I don't have a reason to lie you and copy all my user system files to the other HDD. What we have here is some very strange bug of some kind. G\D&S is actually C\D&S... But why it seems like it is all in the other HDD I don't know...

    The D&S folders had Deny to read rule applied to Everyone.

    are you sure you have NEVER put that disk before???? also... it may be pausible that you have a RAID 1 setup mirrored all your data onto the other hard drive....
    just a remote possibility..... :-?

    I've never used raid on my computer and I also saw these same folders on at least one another hard disk drive. I think this happens when both hdd use windows 7. But after connecting the new hdd my pc doesn't have time even to copy this 4-5 gb of information or even more counting the other folders. They are literally located only in C but on the other drive (not mine) this seems like a shortcut with fake destination...

    I can tell you why. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE to have access to "Documents and Settings" it is NOT a folder. There is a very good reason why all of the Junctions used for compatibility give an "Access Denied" message.

    Why...why is this so hard to grasp?! I feel like a broken record.

    And what is it if not a folder? I know it points to the folder Users and shows it content but this happened in Vista and/or Windows 7! It wasn't featured in XP. Why it shows my users folder with the letter G then if there is already a folder with that name in G drive and it has different FILES/FOLDERS. In XP also Documents and Settings is a folder where the Users folder is located!

    IT IS A JUNCTION, that points to C:\Users. Do you understand? The path is hardcoded in the Junction. It wasn't featured in Windows XP because Windows XP didn't use C:\Users it used C:\Documents and Settings to store user profile and user data. In Windows Vista and 7, Documents and Settings is only there to fix broken applications.

    Furthermore, Windows Vista/7 are and will never be Windows XP, thank god.

    crap/// its a trojan.... i have had this kind of trojan before...
    it looks like a foldar cause it has the icon but in actual it is a trojan with a .exe extention that opens the windows explorer and sends information off the internet....
    just to confirm this run command prompt
    type :
    g:\ ENTER
    dir/w ENTER
    see if the folder (what u think is a folder) comes up as an exe file... if it does then its ok... else post a screen shot for both g and c drives here... :P
