ISO files locked, viewable by program but NOT BY WINDOWS

Hi all: I need your great expertise for a strange occurence. I have 3 ISO files of 4GB each, that the program DVD Shrink can see when opening them. It can even play them. They are supposedly located right under C:. But they have locks on each of them. Perhaps for this reason, Windows cannot see them. I've tried making Windows searches by file size, by name, it just won't see them. But I go back to DVD Shrink and they are clearly there with their locked icon. I am running W7-64.

I am confused. I want to delete these files... but can't find them.

PS: hidden files are set to SHOW under options

Try using an iso opening program to move the files off the root of C: to a different drive or to a folder under C: say C:\temp, then check whether you can see them in windows explorer.

Yes, never store files in the root of C:. Windows 7 has made that harder to do, and thankfully so.

Bill and Mc: thanks! I initially thought the program would never allowed moving the files... but it did. And miracle, they show when no longer under C:. Mystery still complete on the logic of this, but hey, they show. You guys rock.

They were in C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore because you didn't have the necessary power to write to the root of the C drive.
