No more real-time window resizing & moving?

I noticed recently that when I try to resize or move a window, it shows a black border of what I'm resizing the window or where I'm moving the window to, instead of being able to see the window as it's moving/resizing (picture shows resizing):

I find it really annoying, and would appreciate to know how to get this back to normal? Thanks

Hi,

A few things spring to mind:

1. Have you made changes to your graphics card/drivers/settings recently?
2. Have you disabled the Aero Theme at all?

Regards,
Golden

Hello Broodyr,

In addition, double check using the tutorial below to make sure that you have the Show window contents while dragging box checked in visual effects.

Show Window Contents or Outline While Dragging

Hope this helps,

Thanks! I opened up the Visual Effects properties, and the option was checked, but after re-checking it, it worked. And @Golden; Yes, I actually did just upgrade my graphics card and drivers, so that probably was it. Thanks!

Odd window resizing behavior
Sorry, couldn't think of a better title. Anyway, this isn't too important to me, but I would be interested as to why this happens. I have a monitor with a resolution of 1280x1024 (can't go bigger) and when I first boot my computer, I can make a program's usable space (inside the borders) be...

YIM 10 Window resizing on its own
Lately when I close a chat window in Y! Messenger (a window that is either maximized or manually stretched to fit the size of my computer screen) and either open a new one or a contact IMs me, the window will go from the size I made it to a 2 inch by 2 inch (roughly) square in the top left corner...

Disabling automatic window resizing
This is probably a simple thing to do, but maybe I missed it. I have two monitors, each with a large screen. I often move a window from one to the other. If I place it near the top of the screen, Windows happily expands it to fill the whole screen, something I'd rather not have happen. How...

Resizing Window Size
Hi everybody sorry if that has been posted before :( Simple question really is there a F button or some other combination that will open a window to it's maximum viewing size? I am so fed up of stretching it wide with the mouse :( TIA :) Steve

WMP 12 - resizing window size
every time i start to play a video, WMP starts in a small 3x5ish window... I rre-size and make it bigger, close WMP, and start the video again, and it never ever remembers the previous size... for some of the higher resolution videos (HD and Blueray) WMP opens a bigger sized window, but no matter...
