disable autocomplete, it's in everything not just the browser
i have no idea what is doing this or where to find it or shut it off.
it shows up when i am in chrome, in internet explorer, when i was trying to put my name and address in the autofill even then it was doing it, and i wasn't using a browser to do that, i was in windows settings. it is happening every 3 or 4 words, and what's worse, what comes up has nothing to do with what i am typing. for example, when i just typed "with" a few words ago, it filled in "With theg but the". it is *also* doing it when i am using speech recognition and notepad and a couple other things. Here's how "once upon a time" shows up in notepad without me cancelling and fixing the changes: "With the once the good withup on a time". you get the idea.
it is driving me insane because it happens every few words, then i have to stop typing or talking, wait til the box decides what it is going to suggest, then cancel it. arrrrgh.
---edit---
oops, forgot to say thank you for taking the time to try to help me.

i would also like to know how to "add" words to the speech recognition. it is impossible to get it to recognize "facebook" and my email addy and stuff like that. it would also be nice to be able to add to the windows one too.
I have windows 7. i've just done a factory reset on my notebook and am setting it back up, this just reminded me to check for updates. so far, i've just installed chrome, copied pictures from my desktop, deleted some shortcuts, and set up the network connection to my desktop.
this has never happened before i did the reset.
in the first pic i was trying to type "windows 7", in the second one, the name of my town which starts with the letter V, and it filled in the junk in front of that.
