    Safe Mode?

Can you boot your machine in "Safe Mode"?

My friend had a problem with his Vista notebook recently.
His profile was screwed up (no" Start menu" items, couldn't update Windows or run his AV program).

We were able to boot it in "Safe Mode" and then we were able to clean up a bunch of malware.

    Not working.

I had a question about this, how do I make another user, without the control panel?

Press the keyboard Windows key and type Command Prompt in start menu box.
Right-click on Command Prompt and select the Run as administrator option. The Command Line window opens and is active (has focus).

On the command line type this command: net user UserName Password /add
(there is a space between Password and / and no space between / and add)
    Where:
UserName = Name of the user account.
Password = Password of the user account.
