On the COA label ther must be a 25 digit product number - if not, it is a hoax

To find out if it is a genuine Dell Service Tag, you need to visit Dell Support to confirm it.

When you enter the tag Dell will soon tell you if it's not one of their's.

If you don't have a product key and the COA label is blank or hand-written you should be concerned.

Please contact Dell as soon as possible, because it sounds as if this reseller wants taking down - and quick. Put it this way, Dell won't be happy that their trade mark is being used in this manner.

Seavixen32 is correct. Dell would take a dim view of that. As for the date the warranty started, Dell starts the warranty the date you order the computer, not when you receive it.
