    Okay, apparently it's good to know the version you're referencing. Word 2010 is 25 MRUs. I think Marsmimar is on the right track--There's something clearing the MRUs.

    When I run msconfig startup I found CCleaner

    the MRU empties at shutdown of the Lap but closing word and reopen it in the same session I find MRU the problem occurs after shutdown

    When you open CCleaner click the Options button on the left side of the dashboard. Then click Settings and make sure CCleaner isn't set to run at startup (uncheck that option.)

    The problem is solved when I unchecked the ccleaner from mscongif startup thank very much for your help and sorry if I was such a pain
