    Really simple question

Hello everyone. I am a newcomer to the W7 forum and would really appreciate an answer to the following question.
Currently I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition which I do not like. I am going to upgrade to W7 Home Edition (clean install) but I'm confused as to which version of W7 to get. There are 2 versions of for sale: one is W7 Anytime retailing at about £55, and the other is simply W7 Home Edition retailing at about £85.
In spite of reading the information about each product, I can't see which I have to buy in order to perform a clean install. By comparison with what I have read in the forum, this is a pretty crass question, but I do need advice!
    Many thanks,
    Les

    Welcome
The cheaper one is basically an upgrade.
If you have Vista you want the upgrade version. .
Buy and upgrade DVD and do a clean install, Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version[2]=General Tips
Anytime upgrade is just that an upgrade, you want a clean install with an upgrade DVD.

Anytime does not apply in your case- anytime can only upgrade from a lower edition of win7 to a more premium edition say home premium to pro, it CANNOT be used to upgrade from vista to win7.
