partitions converted from basic to dynamic

I am building a new computer with 1TB of HDD. At first when I started to install an OS, a system volume was created automatically of 100MB size. Then I created another 200GB partition as C to install win7 and 2 other partitions of 250GB. I wasn't allowed to create another one partition. After I finished windows installation, I tried to create partition in unallocated space using > New simple volume. The sytem warned me of dynamic volumes > accept it. Then eventually all 4 volumes were converted to dynamic in disk management window.
Should I convert back to basic disks?
Could I convert back without re-installing windows?

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Convert a Dynamic Disk to a Basic Disk

The reason you weren't able to create another primary partition is because you are only permitted to have up to four primary partitions on your hard drive.

If you need more then create a logical partition within a primary partition.

    Thank you seavixen32.
The strange thing to me is that all partitions were converted to dynamic.
Besides, conversion back to basic partitions requires partitions to be deleted 1st. Does this include C?

Read through the tutorial and you will see that Option Four allows you to convert a dynamic disk to a basic disk without losing any data.
