    Black Screen

Need your help. I have a major problem. It all started when a message occurred that a fireplug plugin needs to turned off. With out thinking I clicked ok. I was using chrome plus at the time. Ii froze. I tried pressing alt crtl delete nothing happened. I then rebooted. When it booted up windows explorer wouldn't work. I rebooted then in to safe mode did a quick scan and nothing showed up (Malwarebytes). I then rebooted again same thing. I then rebooted into safe mode again twice each doing a system restore. Now when I come to user page, I click on my icon and nothing happens. This was between system restores. After the last system restore, there were no user icons. Rebooted back into safe mode it will load the data than I wait a few seconds after loading and the screen turns black. I tried to boot back to the regular window, the start-up screen will appear then the screen will turn black. In both instances the cursor will be showing and that's it.
Will I need to to do a fresh install? Is this a virus that wasn't picked up. I do have my data backed up fortunately. Thanks in advance.

Try booting to safe mode and doing a repair install (you will need your original installation disk) See here if you need help to carry this out:- Repair Install ..Good luck!

I have removed all device and just using one monitor. I did go through a ckdsk screen and it went through its paces. Nothing. In safe mode it loads the drivers and then goes black. Can't go beyond that.
