Distorted images and failure to render HTML or CSS sometimes

    Hi all,

Whenever I browse the web 1/4 times I will see html code rather than what the page intended (I have included an example.) Also on some webpages I will see really distorted images; refreshing the page doesn't help as if they were permanently damaged for my view.

I thought reformatting would solve these issues but they still remain. Sometimes images just show up as broken jpegs as well. Any clue as to what the issue may be?

Could this be a hardware issue?

Hi reedwalter and Welcom to Seven Forums.:)

This is likely a browser issue, it happens to me too on many sites with IE8. In my case however a refresh clears it up. do you have magnification set to more than 100%?
Could be your resolution setting too, try whatever is native for your monitor. Disable all addons in the browser then reenable each, one at a time. Try resetting it to all default settings.
    Which browser are you using?
You can try updating your graphics driver, but that may not help.

    Thank you Britton,

I am using google chrome, IE8, and mozilla. The issues appear in all of the browsers. The HTML/CSS issues are fixed after I refresh, but the image issues are permanent on certain sites.

I literally reformatted about 2 hours ago. The only image issues I see come from browser based images so I doubt it has anything to do with the video card but I could be wrong. It seems like there may be some TCP/IP issue?? I really am not sure, I appreciate any help or direction you can lead me.

I think it is an internet/connection problem too. I didn't think a graphics driver would cause it. You can try running System Files Checker to see if it picks up some corrupt files and fixes them.

A reformat seems an exercise in futility for a display issue.

That said, if you have nVIDIA and are using the 275.xx driver, it is buggy. I rolled back to the 270.61 driver. If you have ATI, I don;t know about their drivers. Sorry not to be much help bud.
A call to your ISP may help, but not hopeful on that.
