Class ID looking folders

In Windows explorer under my user account in Appdata / Local I have about 50 folders with names that look like Class ID's. ie: {E191A1A4-41AA-4CC6-B635-2CCB50751A79}. There is nothing showing in these folders even when I change the folder option to show hidden files and show protected operating system files. These folders have different creation dates and times.

What is creating these folders, and can they be safely deleted.
