| | Search files and programs The file search in the start menu does not work at all. As soon as I begin to type no items match your search appears in the search window. I am running windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried many suggestions from other post and none seem to work. |

| | Windows 7 File Search Indexing Options Once you are sure indexing is set up properly You'll want to follow the directions here. Index - Rebuild Of course it's also possible the indexing service has been manually disabled on your machine. That would have to be enabled via the management console. |
