    computer power usage


    my computer does not say how many watts it uses it is a packard bell ipower x8870
    a nvidia 8800gtx 3gb ram 1333mhz two hdd 500 each drives 52000rpm
    with a quad intel core 2 Q6600 2.40ghz so how any watt does it use on the electricity please

    Are you looking for actual usage or what your power supply is rated at?

    On a side note....Packard Bell still makes computers???

    If you want to know actual usage, you need an instrument such as a Killawatt to read it.

    It's unlikely to use over 200 watts unless that is a high powered video card.

    No computer tells you that. You need a device, as mentioned, or a UPS with an app that pulls the usage info from the UPS.
