    Right Click stopped working

    Hello,
I was editing some pictures and my right click button suddenly stopped working anywhere on my laptop.
I have searched the forum for related problems but I have not found a solution.
I have successfully done a system restore (which was a task itself without the right click available) but this has not helped.

    Please help.

    Thanks

Try a virus scan using malwarebytes or combofix

First, run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker .

If not fixed, then , download , install and update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware , and get a full scan .

Hi cyril4real, I think you may have a hardware problem, If you feel confident enough to try a repair yourself ,remove the key board then the palmrest and finally remove and resecure the ribbon cable on the touchpad . Sometimes it's as simple as that

    Cyril4Real,
    Welcome to SevenForums.

Where is this right-click button physically located?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions offered.

I tried scanning for Malware as described but none were found.
I then tried dismantling the laptop to get to the mouse ribbon cable.
Although there was nothing visibly wrong with it, I tapped on it and the right click button started working after I re-coupled the laptop.

    Thanks!
