Hello Woot, and welcome to Seven Forums.
It sounds like your Windows 7 may have been running WEI to update it's score.
To help make sure your system is clean, it wouldn't hurt to run a thorough scan of your system with Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper at boot.
Hope this helps,

You are welcome. A virus wouldn't just change colors, but could be a symptom of one. I think you are safe.
I have links in my sig for other security if you'd like to download and use them as back ups. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built Desktop By DataTech OS Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1 CPU Intel i5-2550K, Differing ~4.4-4.8GHz No built in GPU Motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Memory 16GB G.Skill Sniper 2133MHz 4x4GB Graphics Card ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 460 Sound Card Onboard Realtek 5-1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung P2570HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Old, beat-up Dell USB From 10 yrs Ago Mouse Gigabyte m6900 wired PSU Corsair HX650W Case Inwin Dragon Rider Cooling Hyper 212 EVO w/two Noctua fans, push-pull, @1300 RPM Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB for OS, 750GB Seagate MomentusXT for data, 500GB Seagate Constellation for storage Internet Speed 8-19 Mbs down, 3-4 Mbs up Comcast Cable Antivirus Norton Internet Security Browser IE 9, Opera when needed Other Info 4 case fans, LG BluRay-RE, ASUS DVD-RW, Mr. Fusion power generator with flux capacitor, 1.21 gigawatts. |

It's more likely that some process that ran on your system for those few seconds was not compatible with Aero. Windows 7 will automatically stop and restart it while certain other things run. For example, I play Second Life, and whenever a video plays inside the game Aero shuts down. When the video ends, Aero comes back on. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (Technet) CPU 3.00 gigahertz Intel Core2 Duo E8400 Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. Hi there
Great tool
remember also that when using it on a VM (Yes VM's can get infected as well !!) you can set the Virtual BIOS to boot from specific ISO IMAGES on an internal drive so you don't need to actually boot from a physical USB or DVD/CD.
I'm also hoping that future REAL BIOSES will allow booting from specific ISO images on an installed disk for the REAL machine -- although there is an inherent risk (albeit a tiny one) that the ISO itself could get infected !!.
The problem with booting from USB's etc is that when you are on the move you need as many USB sticks as you used to have with CD's -- such as Windows 7 recovery, Windows 7 install, Partition manager, backup / restore and zillions of other tools.
Cheers
