Custom PC - Won't boot up! Constant loud beep

Issue: When turning on the computer there is around 10 - 20 seconds in which the computer simply is starting up and nothing appears on the monitor. It then makes a loud constant beep noise for around 3 - 5 seconds long and then the computer simply stays on but it does not continue to load up the OS.

What I have tried:
- I have unplugged/replugged the main power cords from the Power supply connecting into the motherboard.
- I have looking at all connections and made sure everything is secure etc.
- I have turned on the PC with the case open and pressed the Reset button directly on the motherboard as well as the red button next to it which I believe is a reset COS button?

* CPU: Intel Core i7
* Motherboard: EVGA Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
* RAM: OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum Edition (8GB, 2GB x 4)
* Graphics card: EVGA GeForce GTX 295
* Power supply: OCZ Silencer 750w
* Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium

NOTE:
- This was a custom built PC, all parts have been purchased individually and was built by myself without any issues.
- I do not believe that this is an overheating issue as I do have a case with 4 fans and the stock Intel processing cooler was replaced with a high end one which allows for overclocking.

Additional Information: I've had this computer for exactly two years now and I've never experienced any problems with it until now. Recently I left my computer on for 6 days straight because I was downloading a sixtology of a movie series that i enjoy. When it was finished downloading I simply turned off my computer and then several days later the computer will not boot up.


If anyone has any input into this It would gladly be appreciated! I haven't been able to use this computer for several days now and If i cannot find a fix I simply will disassemble and reassemble my entire PC although I haven't done it for several years thus I would rather not.

PS: I'm not sure which forum is appropriate for this issue but I have had previous issues here and many of the members have helped me with these issues.

I am unable to see anything when i boot up the PC... It is simply a black screen with no text nor am i able to enter the bios etc... I have noticed that when i turn on the PC it waits 10 - 15 seconds then it is not one constant beep but rather a 2 second long beep then two fast beeps right after.

I'm not sure is this tells me anything about why my computer is acting up but this may be useful.

It is just like Morse Code - there are short beeps and long beeps.
You could have a code like this: Short - Short - Short
or
Short - Long - Short.
You get the idea.

Shut the compurt off, wait 30 seconds or so, then turn it back on and listen carefully for the beep code. Do it several times if necessary.

Once you have the beep code, tell us and give us the name of the BIOS (it will be AWARD or AMI) and the model number of the EVGA motherboard.

Well it is - Long - Short - Short and i looked in my motherboard (EVGA X58 SLI Motherboard) manual and went to the back of the booklet and i noticed the Award POST Codes and the codes are simply 'Code | Name | Description

I'm slightly stumbled as the Code part are simply 01, 02, 03, 0A, 0B, 0C etc. and they all have different names and descriptions but I am unsure which I am having as in the manual it says it will state the code on the Debug LED, It gives me the code 7F which is POST error check - Check POST error and display them and ask for user intervention.

Any ideas what this means? -.-

AWARD BIOS beep codes

Beep Code:1 long, 2 short
Description: Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information

Thinking out loud here...

I've built many dozens of systems and have experienced similar problems when one of the stand off posts/mobo was mounted slightly "off center." The edge of the post was off the grounding pad (on the mobo) and contacted a nearby trace - thus causing a short. I inserted an insulator washer between the post and mobo to solve the problem.
