    Windows 7 - Need Help?!!


    Hi Guys,

    I have an old Ibm thinkpad T60, It currantly has windows xp proffesional 2002 on it, But I would like to download windows 7... Is it compatible? Somebody please give me some advice? Thank you!

    I did the compatibility test, but it makes no sense to me, Im not really that great at computers..

    This is not the compatibilty center, its the upgrade advisor. It will give you a flat yes or no and the reasons why

    My guess is no.

    Follow Richc's advice.

    Click on the link he provided.

    Run the upgrade advisor.

    I also suspect that the answer will be no.

    Thanks guys, I did the test, It came up with several different anwers, there wasnt a yes or no, it did say if i did it had to run with custom 32 bit, but had several different answers to some things, Its an IBM thinkpad lenovo T60 2007 (refurbished) it has xp proffessional 2002 on it... I really have no idea??

    does not sound promising.

    You will be plagued with problems and poor performance.

    I do not suggest installing Win 7 on that computer.

    A good place for another opinion would be the Lenovo site and the Lenovo forum.

    I wouldn't put Windows 7 on a computer that's nearly ten years old.

    As MacGyvr hints, XP SP3 would be fine.
