Can't enable hibernation - access denied
I'm trying to re-enable hibernation. When I try, using powercfg. - on I get "The following items are preventing hibernation on this system. The system could not create the hibernation file. the specific error code is 0xc0000034.
Looking up this code, I learn that access is denied while trying to create the hiberfile.sys file on the C:\ root.
Why? I've tried running it both as my regular logon, and as the Administrator. I'm doing a Run As Administrator in the cmd shell.
Permissions are set on the C drive to allow full access to the administrator.
I can find no reason why it can't create that file.
Any suggestion would be helpful.
