I decided to re-install Outlook and and rebuild the index. Although indexing is not complete yet, it appears to have fixed the problem.

It seemed to be working for a few hours.. emails were searchable by all methods (Windows Key + F, Instant Search, Explorer). Then suddenly, the index, itself, lost all of the emails - ie/ the index now does not contain any emails (Outlook items are still checked in Indexing Options).

I am going to rebuild the index yet agains, but it is really perplexing.

rebuilding did not cause the index to include the emails. (Microsoft Office Outlook items are still checked in Indexing Options)

    Update:

After several Index Rebuilds, all of the documents including emails are in the Index, but unfortunately not searchable via Windows Key + F or explorer. Since I've tried everything including re-installing Office, I'm at a loss again.

    Problem Has Returned

This problem seemed to have solved itself, but now has returned. Each time I rebuild the index, the search function works for a day or two, but then reverts to the same problem described in my original post (Outlook "instant search" works, but Windows Key + F Search does not). Any help would be appreciated
