    Icon coming and going.

    Hi forum,

I am puzzled by a recent development that keeps making the Action Centre icon
come and go in the Notification area. I have set it to be continually present and seen in this area but it goes "walkabout" from time to time. Does this indicate some future problem ?

Did you set it this way ....

Click the little pointer at the system tray area > Customize > find Action Center > click the pointer and select " Show icon and notifications " > OK when done.

I had exactly the same problem about a week ago
    Action center flag disappears
on both laptop and desktop, it's settled down now the action center flag doesnt appear for a few mins after startup, but now it always appears although not immediately ,i suspect it was related to an update but cant say for sure, be interesting if more people "flag it up" ( pun intended!)

Hi, This was my first "port of call" and it did not work but, as I write, I see that it is back again. There are other problems appearing mainly this one ... I am trying to do a System Image back up to an external HD and it tell s me that it is corrupted and advises DiscCheck. I try to do this and it stalls and I cannot eject the device. I have to turn off the PC to do this safely. Strange quirks.
