    Window won't maximize fully

Hey Guys, so I just got a new Dell Inspiron 620 with Windows 7 64bit and I'm loving it so far. However, after I rebooted it, when I maximized a window (any window), it doesn't maximize to the top of the screen. Now I first thought that I had to adjust my monitor settings, but you can still see the background wallpaper where it is not maximizing. I know this may sound a bit confusing so I included a picture of a problem to clear things up. While it only affects my computer visually, I know that it is not suppose to happen so it is bugging me a lot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the picture. (see how the window doesn't maximize to the top of the screen?) and it WAS normal before. I am on a 1900x1080 monitor.

It looks like your Aero theme isn't displaying correctly. I would suggest either changing the theme and then changing back, or running a System File Check.

Tried changing the themes, but the problem persisted on every theme (even when I changed it back and forth). When I did the system file check, it said everything was good. So it didn't work

This looks much like the problem discussed here:
Maximised windows not all the way to top of screen (annoying)

You tried changing the hertz, as suggested at the end?

My monitor (viewsonic VX2433wm 1080p) doesn't give me to option to change the hertz nor does it when I go into NVIDIA Control Panel.

Right click on the desktop, select "screen resolution" click the "advanced" button and select the "monitor" tab. There you can change the resolution. :)

The only other option it gives me is 59hz. I tried it and it didn't work.

If you can remember that date when " it was normal ", use it as your restore point and run a system restore :
