My PC Is slow to Boot Up

My Computer is running Windows 7, 64 bit.

Everytime when I do a restart, it takes a while to boot up my PC. I forgot the procedure to cut those softwares from running up. The only thing I remember is unchecking some software in a list. So when I do a boot, it doesn't take long.

Hello Paniolo and welcome to SevenForms.

You might be thinking of msconfig > startup tab.

You can remove programs that u know from startup. Just don't uncheck your Anti-virus. And everything will be fine. Mine has only the AV checked because that's just what I need. Good luck :)

    Paniolo Welcome to SevenForums.

WIN | type MSCONFIG | STARTUP tab | uncheck items not needed at startup time.

WIN is the key with the Microsoft flag on top.

That is one of the ways.

What I would like for you to do is to download, install and run the free CCLEANER (link in my sig).

After running ccleaner, then carry out following procedure:

LIST OF STARTUP PROGRAMS USING CCLEANER

CCleaner | Tools icon | Startup tab | click on Save to text file button (bottom right side)

Using the PAPER CLIP icon in the top panel of a Message Reply window, attach the .txt file generated by CCleaner.

I'll take a look at the attached file and suggest which should be unchecked.

Your CCcleaner is not free. The cost is $24.95. Where is your sig?

CCleaner is FREE. My sig is that area at the bottom of my posts where links are given to various software.
