Hello Itsik,

Just to be sure of what you meant, when you say reset, what do you mean by that and what is it doing compared to what you believe it should be doing?

Could you post a screenshot of what this looks like when it reset?

Itsik,

You might give OPTION ONE in the tutorial below a try to prevent Windows 7 from deleting the thumbnail cache and hopefully to stop this.

Itsik,

You might see if resetting the thumbnail cache and rebuiding the icon cache may help.

Do you have any all-in-one tweak type programs installed that may have an option to turn off thumbnail previews that may be causing this?

CCleaner will clear the thumbnail cache. Make sure that isn't what caused it if you use it and run it often.

That's great news Itsik. Thank you for posting back with your results. I'm not sure how that was related to your router either though. Strange.

Was this on a NAS drive connected via the router?

Question about Thumbnail Cache
I have always avoided deleting thumbnail cache when cleaning my PC, both manually and with Ccleaner. Currently, my thumbnail cache is ~ 180MB. My simple question is: if I delete the thumbnail cache, will I lose any embedded album art from my AAC (.m4a) files?
