Win7 to WinVista cmd messaging

Hi , i was trying to get the command "MSG.exe" working from my x64 Windows 7 Professional, to my sisters WinVista HomePremium but when i type "msg "her username" hello" i get an error saying "does not exsist or is disconnected. But i know that she is on .

is this a compability prob or am i just retarded?

Well, to send a message to another machine, you need to use the /server switch for starters. Otherwise, the message is sent locally, which obviously isn't going to work .
